The weekend goes by WAY too fast, but it was a fun and productive one. I had several projects going at once (as usual)… because my brain won’t stop thinking about stuff. It’s insane. I’m insane. :-)
A think about the silliest things sometimes… but I really wanted an orange pillow for the guest bedroom. Something orange, anything orange… come on people how hard can it be to find a orange pillow? Damn near impossible. Of course I always want things that I can’t find or if I do it costs $100 for a pillow. (sigh!) So I went to the fabric store to make my own.Of course, LIMITED, LIMITED. Not a lot to choose from but I did at least find something orange. One yard of it and some thread and I was on my way. I tend to fly by the seat of my pants so I jumped right in.

The old sewing machine made its way out of the closet and I got to it. I wanted something that I could either unzip, unbutton, or untie the cover to clean it. But then again, buttons, zippers, and ties always get in the way so I decide to just do a “pocket”. I’m terrible at taking the time to cut straight lines and measure too much but it seems to turn out okay. 30 minutes later it was done. Now on to the next project in my head….

Looks like somebody besides me likes ORANGE! (lauging)

I wish I could come up with a name that suits her. She’s always just been “kittie”. We found her after hurricane Rita just roaming the street. We were in love. :-) Thanks, Sarah.
P.S. George’s paintings look good everywhere. I have trouble trying to figure out where to put them.
