What can I say…. even the neighbors were surprised! They never even knew what the house looked like behind all the trees and vegetation. Take a look at what we did with it. I sometimes regret not going with the “minimal” modern landscaping but I’m a sucker for flowers. Gotta have ’em. I’m really pleased and I’m sure it will be ever-changing. I wish I had taken more before pictures but trust me when I say that it was a jungle out there!

Thank you so much for looking! It’s so nice to share your hard work and have people respond so positively. Right now the flower beds are overflowing and I really need to get outside and trim things up. I’ll try to post a picture soon. It’s so hot in Texas right now (95 degrees) and it’s hard to find the right time to work in the yard. Everything is growing well and I’m really pleased. Color Everywhere!!!

Hi there, I just found your blog and I love what you have done with your house! I can relate to being the eyesore of the neighborhood. Our exterior was an absolute jungle when we bought our house. We seemed to have the opposite effect on one neighbor, though, who hated us after we fixed up our landscaping. It was now nicer than his lol.
Hey Michelle! Thanks so much for taking a look. Man, our house was a disaster! Most of the neighbors were jumping for joy… and excited to even SEE what the house looked like behind all that crap. Everything was so overgrown. One neighbor to our right was PISSED that we were “tearing it up”. They told me it felt like they were living in Bosnia. Needless to say… there is no love between us. We just pretend the other doesn’t exist. But like you… ours is now MUCH prettier than theirs and I sometimes wonder if they ever think “damn, we were mean.. it looks pretty good”. Ha Ha!
Speaking of lookin’ good! HOLY SHIT your house is gorgeous. Sorry, I’m a cusser! But IT IS! You just got a follower! I love what you’re doing too. I can’t imagine my life in any other type of house. We LOVE IT… and I’m sure you feel the same about yours.
