Boy oh boy, this is not the best looking yard.

This is how the front of the house looked before we started our work. You really didn't even know there was a house back there.

We hired a tree service to take down 13 trees. We cut 13 on our own. The property was so overgrown!

Down in the dirt! I've cleared away anything left and leveled the dirt to prepare for grass.

The left side of the driveway had 2 big oaks and 3 yew trees removed. Hard to believe all that was in this little space. Here I'm placing rock to outline the bed and I'm getting ready to plant.

We bought 3 pallets of grass and began to lay them. A load of dirt was also delivered and Richie and I spent about a week spreading it through the front and back yard.

After the bamboo was removed and the stump grinder took care of the roots, we planted 3 red crepe myrtles.

A view from the street. We've come a long way, baby. Everything is so green and lush. The plants are happy and so are we!

I used rocks to create a bed to highlight the retaining wall and planted perennials and topped with mulch.

The left side of driveway. There are two raised beds of annuals because that's where the big oaks were and I can't plant ANYTHING but small stuff there. It all worked out and looks fine.

Richie had to replace a lot of wood on the front of the house. Can't wait to stain it all and get it looking better.

The wood at the front walk has all been re-stained and everything is coming together.

A nice view of the crepe myrtles in bloom. I can't believe how much they've grown. So much better than all that bamboo!
