I’m often asked… WHY?  Why in the world don’t you hire someone to finish up this house of yours?  Good grief, that’s an excellent question and my usual answer is … well, because there’s lots of stuff I can do myself and hiring someone is not only expensive but a nightmare.  (we’ve all been there!)  NIGHTMARE!  But this post is about another reason we do it all ourselves.

The thing is that I’m not a rich person.  I make a good living and so does my husband… but we are not wealthy people.  We have beautiful things that we’ve worked very ….

Office Party!

I definitely think it’s true that “small” spaces are the hardest.  I know it seems like I’ve been working in the office for like FOR-EV-ER (gag me with a spoon). Honestly the truth is … I HAVE BEEN.  I’ve also been helping Richie with the staining of the outside siding.  Which is going fabulous by the way.

But lets wrap up this space before I stab myself with a pair of scissors.   I don’t know about you but when I’m done with a project I’m DONE with it.  Well, for a while at least.  Ha Ha!

Office Details – After Midnight

The work continues in our little office and I’m starting to see the finish line.   Although there are still many OFFICE posts to come and lots left to do… here’s some record keeping.

Over the weekend I decided to focus in on some little things that required some creativity.  Most of it I come up with around midnight when I’m trying to settle my brain down and get to sleep.  It rarely works because that’s usually the time I go crazy with thoughts regarding my next insane TIME SUCKING project.

Office Work

It’s time to get back on track with my postings here. My whole reason for starting this blog was to keep a “journal”, if you will, of all the projects we complete big or small. Having a record of all the work we’ve done over the past 4 years is incredibly motivating to us… and it helps us realize how grateful we are to have this opportunity and just how far we’ve come. Unfortunately I have NOT been keeping up well with things and that makes it ten times more difficult to get going again. I’m just going to START ….
